OK, so I did mention that I am way behind on Bloganuary (now on the January 22 prompt!) but I am ploughing on into February – because I do like the prompts and enjoy writing about something a little different from the norm.
However, when we were asked to write about our favorite quote (yes! just one!) I thought that it just had to be two…
Firstly, the one that gives me energy, hope and inspiration, from one of my heroes, Dr. Jane Goodall. There are so many of hers – about respect for living things; about empathy and compassion; about decision-making and about taking action. It is the last part that inspires me the most:
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
Dr. Jane Goodall

Secondly, the one that brings me calm, and acceptance, is from Thich Nhat Hanh:
You have always been here.

As a regular blogger, not sure you should feel compelled to follow Bloganuary prompts, rigidly, daily; one can pick and choose, as you’re already on a regular posting track. Just saying.

Good point Dennis. I actually have been enjoying the prompts, just because they encourage me to write a different kind of post than I normally would. So I don’t feel obliged but I do want to finish it because it’s an interesting exercise for me. If that makes sense.
