I nearly missed this Weekly Photo Challenge. However, it’s never too late to tell you about a favourite place, is it? Home in Kingston is always going to be my favourite place. But there are also some “home from home” places that I must mention, and share with you here. Places where I feel completely comfortable. They are also favourite places, for different reasons.
Home – a corner of our tumbling, ramshackle garden in Kingston.
The beach – lazy heat at Frenchman’s Cove, Portland.
My sister’s house in Sussex, England is a favourite place, because it holds so many memories of family – generations, some passed on and some new, people coming and going.
The city of London has to be a favourite place – the place of my birth, where I met my husband and where our son was born. Average high streets like this one are places where I immediately feel at home.
Now, here is a favourite place indeed – although the decor has changed quite a bit since this photo was taken. Here I am in Cafe Blue, Liguanea, Kingston (with Bob for company).
The river at Frenchman’s Cove is always different, but always the same. Adorned with the occasional heron or sandpiper, it is always elegant. I love it.
