Yesterday I was overcome by tiredness and did not do much writing. So yesterday was International Human Rights Day. Here’s a very important post from human rights activist Susan Goffe, reminding us. Let’s take a read… (note the word “everyone”… Yes, human rights are for ALL citizens, not just some, or some more than others!)

Right Steps & Poui Trees

There is so much that I could say today – December 10, Human Rights Day – but I am just going to keep it simple. There have been many activities online and on the ground this past week, acknowledging the importance of human rights.

Today, I re-read the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 10, 1948, in the aftermath of World War II. It is a document that bears frequent re-reading and far more attention than it gets in our schools.
