      1. Like you, Debbie embraces her country and is not afraid to speak up about controversial issues. She has a very valid reason to be upset about the proposed canal – i cannot imagine how it will desecrate such a pristine section of central america…

      2. Yes, she does indeed have good reason to be distressed. This must not be allowed to happen! It’s not only pristine and untouched, it is unique (the huge lake, the volcano) and so valuable… I feel for her. Thank you for introducing me to her!

    1. Ah, Barbara… That is a good question. I assume there is a reason, too. But there cannot be any GOOD reason to dynamite through a huge and valuable lake and then dig through rain forest and nature reserves! I just hope it never happens…
